Help Little Bug

My little Yorkie Bug is full of life and lights up the room with his sweet and loving demeanor. When I was living overseas in Okinawa, his mother was rescued from a puppy mill. No one knew that she was pregnant with three little pups. I'm so thankful for that rescue, because it resulted in me meeting and adopting my little guy. He was recently attacked by a German Shepherd and his injuries are extensive, and critical. He has two severe chest puncture wounds, 4 broken ribs, a punctured lung, and his front left leg was completely shredded down to the bone. He has been sent to an emergency veterinary hospital 1.5 hours from where i live and now his vet bills have surpassed $8500. We are a military family and this is a huge hit that we were not prepared for. He is worth every penny though. I can't imagine my life without him in it. He has gotten me through countless deployments and long periods of time where I was alone. We do not have children, he is our child. Its going to be a long and hard recovery, but he is a fighter. I am someone who has a lot of pride and hates to ask others for anything, but this is the exception. I would do anything to save him. If you can help Bug out, I would greatly appreciate it. Anything helps.
