JOSELITO, AN AUTISTIC CHILD FROM MEXICO WHO NEEDS YOUR SUPPORT
In times when it is particularly urgent to support people in need, no matter where they are, who they are and how many they are:
I’d like to introduce a dedicated project named “Help Joselito!”.
I am Dr Jean Weinfeld, the initiator and coordinator of this important project.
With a US-American friend of mine, who is the campaign organizer, we run this project.
“Help Joselito!” aims through Crowdfunding to foster a Mexican autistic child whose modest family struggles to pursue the therapy Joselito needs to foster his potentials in life and facilitate his social inclusion.

En tiempos en que es particularmente urgente prestar apoyo a las personas que están en necesidad, dondequiera que se encuentren, quiénes sean y cuántas sean:
con este mensaje personal quisiera presentar un proyecto llamado "Help Joselito!".
Soy el Dr. Jean Weinfeld, el iniciador y coordinador de este proyecto.
Junto a un amigo estadounidense que es el organizador de la campaña manejamos este proyecto.
“Help Joselito!” (“¡Ayuda a Joselito!”) es un proyecto cuyo propósito es ayudar a un niño mexicano con autismo que merece, y cuya familia de bajos recursos lucha para proseguir la terapia que Joselito necesita con el fin de promover en su vida los potenciales que están en él y facilitar su inclusión social.

THE THERAPY PLAN
The therapy plan set up for Joselito has three aspects:
- a pragmatic therapy, which aims to work on Joselito’s motor system and every day life fitness. It is lead by Diego and Julio, two Mexican professional therapists. But its continuation is endangered by financial problems.
- an aesthetic-sensorial therapy, which aims to work on Joselito’s sensitivity and expressivity in order to discover and foster his potentials. It is lead by Jean. This therapy method is new and presented as a virtual “travel” in several stages in presence of Joselito’s parents. From 2017 on “real” therapy travels have been added to those virtual ones. The first one took place in January 2017 and was fully sponsored byJean - but he won't be able to bear alone such an expense again.
- a co-therapy: the therapists involved in the therapy process reflect their activities on their own personal history .
This therapy plan started almost three years ago on volunteer base for all caregivers. It takes place normally in Mexico City. So far this model brought excellent results. Yet, for economic reasons, in order to enable this plan to be continued we all are now dependent on your support.
El plan terapéutico para Joselito
Se analiza en tres aspectos:
- una terapia pragmática que trabaja sobre la motricidad y intenta lograr que Joselito tenga más autonomía en su vida cotidiana y más inclusión en su vida familiar (dirigida por Julio y Diego)
- una terapia estético-sensorial que trabaja sobre el potencial sensitivo y expresivo de Joselito; dirigida por Jean se presenta como un "viaje". Esta terapia incluye desde 2017 también viajes terapéuticos "reales"
- una co-terapia en que todos los terapeutas comprometidos en el proyecto reflejan sus actividades en su propia historia.
Este plan ha dado hasta la fecha óptimos resultados, pero por razones económicas no podrá seguir sin su apoyo.
