Transplanted Kidney Cancer

Donation protected

Early last week Jorge received life changing news from UW Hospital. His transplanted kidney from 11 years ago needs to be surgically removed due to kidney cancer. Surgery will occur at the end of February and will require him stay up to five nights in inpatient care. Jorge will be on dialysis for years to come, if he becomes cancer free then he will be reconsidered being added to the wait list.

Jorge has lived in the Sauk Prairie area the majority of his life, he’s a Sauk Prairie high school graduate class of 2004 and attended MATC for Machine Tool Technics. He’s a handyman and loves fixing stuff around the house and spending time with his beautiful family, his wife Maryurit, and three sons George (11), Ian (5), and Anthony (2).

Before graduating high school, Jorge’s dream was to serve his country by joining the US Marine Corp. Unfortunately, he received medical results back indicating he had kidney disease and was unable serve. Jorge has been a warrior his whole life as he’s overcome many health issues, please help him and his family get through this financially and emotionally challenging time.

Getting to dialyses appointments along with a change in lifestyle will be emotionally and financially challenging for Jorge and his family. Funds will be used for hospital bills, transportation, child care, lodging for family while he is in inpatient care and living expenses as he recovers.
