Help John Rebound

Johnie Mack is a local legend within the annals of St. Louis basketball history.  A graduate of St. Louis Country Day School, where he was an outstanding student-athlete, Johnie went on to star at Montana State University. After his playing days, Johnie settled into a quiet, normal Mid-American life. After his time at university, he worked as an Operations Manager at Monsanto for more than sixteen years; it was during his time at Monsanto that Johnie first began to experience medical problems and suffered his first stroke. After recovering and moving to Express Scripts, Johnie's medical problems continued. In his sixth year of employment, he suffered another stroke. While the causes of the strokes were not easily discerned at first, the consequences of the strokes forced Johnie to take time away from working to recover. He rebounded, again, and began working at General Motors, where he suffered two more strokes during his employment; over the past four years, Johnie suffered six strokes in total. Doctors have since identified a major cause of the strokes as related to clotting factors associated with the circulation of blood in Johnie's legs.  At the young age of forty-seven, the effects of the strokes have not only affected Johnie but his family as a whole. A married father of two and grandfather of a five year old girl, Johnie's abilities to provided income for the family have sorely been missed over the past few years. The financial toll, quite frankly, has been tremendous. He has been unable to work, and, while Johnie has taken advantage of the mechanisms of insurance and disability services to help offset the medical costs associated with rehabilitating his body, the day-to-day expenses of maintaining the necessities requisite of a functioning household have exhausted not only his savings but his 401k.  All the while, the medical bills continue to mount.
