Help Jim Armstrong fight cancer

Five years ago Jim was diagnosed with stage 2 breast cancer.  He was treated with chemotherapy, radiation and surgery.  He was able to remain working throughout this, so we decided not to have a benefit back then.

On September 20, 2018 we found out his cancer is back now stage 4.  A scan showed cancer in multiple spots, though fortunately not in any vital organs.  The doctors feel he has a good chance at fighting this with more chemo, radiation and hormone therapy.

One of the tumors was eating away at his hip bone.  On Monday, October 22nd Jim fell and broke his hip.  He was transported by ambulance to Monticello, MN hospital.  They were unable to operate there so he was transferred to the University of Minnesota.  On Wednesday, October 24th, a team of the best surgeons performed a high-risk surgery, which went very successful.  He had a full hip replacement and the tumor was removed.  Jim was discharged from the hospital and returned to his home on Saturday, October 27th.

At this point, unfortunately, Jim will be unable to work.  He was an insurance claims adjuster, which requires quite a bit of travel and movement.  After several weeks of physical therapy for the hip replacement, Jim will need to begin chemotherapy and radiation.  He will also be on hormone therapy and antibodies for the remainder of his life.

We are hoping to help with medical expenses and loss of income, as he needs to make his health and recovery his top priority.  Since finding out his cancer is back Jim has started a KETO diet and has been drinking teas to help fight this naturally as well.
