Update: Thanks to your donations, I've gotten my graphics card, internal fans and usb extension, cable mod, and RAM.
Now, I just need the case, motherboard, processor, cooler, and power supply. I've been getting editing jobs, so that's helped, but if you can donate, I'd greatly appreciate the help.

Some of you may know me as Devon Vesper from the books I write.
My computer has caught fire three times in the past year. (No actual flames, but tons of smoke.) And, now it's dead. The graphics card overheated, melted wires, and it fried the motherboard and processor. I took it to a computer repair shop to assess the damage, and they said that not even the case survived, but somehow my hard drives came out unscathed. I borrowed a friend's computer, but they needed it back by August 25th for fall semester at college, and I've been out of work since.
Important note: I back up all client work and books to Google Drive and my hard drives were not affected. No important data was lost.
A good, solid computer is necessary for all aspects of my working life. I write books under the pen name of Devon Vesper to keep food on my table, and they bring in about enough pocket change each month to get me by in the food department. I also take on clients for video editing, web design, graphics design, cover art, and interior book formatting for print and ebooks. All of those need a good computer to get the work done, especially for video editing and cover art. I use DAZ 3D rendering software for some of the book covers, and that seriously taxes lower end machines.
