Help Huyen to learn English

Whilst travelling around central Vietnam I met Huyen a single mum struggling to learn English in the hope of a better life for her and her 3 year old daughter.

She lost her husband to cancer 3 years ago when she was pregnant with her daughter Lun. Since then she has been working long hard hours in the fields to provide for her daughter and elderly parents.

I bought her some English books to help her along but what she really needs is a second hand laptop so that she can access modern and free learning materials online. She will also be able to share the laptop with her friends and use it for her daughters schooling.

Learning English will mean that Huyen can get a job in the fast growing tourism and hospitality industry in Vietnam. She currently has to work long hours every day which means she has very little time to spend with her daughter.s

Any money raised after one month I will put towards a second hand laptop for Huyen and make up any shortfall myself.  If there is any money left over I will use it for other English learning materials for Huyen and her daughter.
