Help Hunters Healing
Up to today, Hunter has undergone a number of surgeries to burns on his head, chest, left foot sole and right leg and foot. On Monday the 10th April, Hunter underwent 3 skin grafts to his right leg and foot. With further surgeries to come.
Mum Kerrie and his dad Mick are by his side and his brothers, Haedin, Cody and Joel are also there. We will be updating this page regularly.
The sooner we can begin to raise funds, the sooner we can start helping Hunter and the Hall family by way of providing him the required suitable sun care, clothing, and special shoes he needs.
We have already purchased the pram he requires, with an extra large sun shade and straightening support that he needs for his leg.
Accommodation is being provided by the Ronald McDonald House so his daddy and brothers can stay by his side in Brisbane for as long as necessary.
The caravan mortgage and bills are still going to roll in. Their trip around Australia has come to a sudden halt. Any financial assistance that can be provided will help Hunter and help relieve some of the stress that this family is currently undergoing.
My name is Kerrie Hall (Hunters Mum) also know as facebooks "touring six". After Hunters accident, I was advised to start a GoFundMe page whilst in hospital, under the help of a social worker.
Any financial assistance you can afford will help to put a smile back on little Hunters face. The monies received will be held in Hunters account until needed. ie: for medical, skin care and clothing needs over the next 5 yrs.
We greatly appreciate any assistance received.
I can’t believe it’s been nearly a year already
Overall he is one very lucky boy!! My miracle
In September 2017, we ended our trip and settled down once again in Rockhampton, Queensland. We got a big lovely old Queenslander, with a huge backyard. Hunter now runs around, and walks up and down stairs. He is your typical 2yr old boy. Nothing stops him!
His talking is still very limited, Da, Mum, Ta and No are the main words he uses. And of course, the dummy remains in his mouth 20 out of 24hrs. Doctors say to leave him, it is his Comforter/security blanket.
Hunter has too continue with his silicone gels, creams and compressions for another 1 - 2 years.
The plan is not to have another surgery for around 5 yrs, due to his little growing body. Waiting to see if his body will pull the inflammation down by stretching it as his bones grow or stay the same.
We have decided NOT to start steroid injections. He has no movement issues with his ankle at the moment.
Only time will tell.
Thankyou to everyone for your continued support, it is greatly appreciated ❤️
His talking is still regressing, point and grunt. Time is the key. His leg is still being gelled and creamed daily. He drys out very quickly, especially around his ankle area.
Sorry if this photo offends anyone, just letting you all know it is getting smoother and healing as expected.
Hunter is due for a new leg shortly. Attending Rockhampton Hospital on the 19th June for measurements, and then Brisbane's Lady Cilentos on the 28th for the fitting. He has put on 2kg since leaving the hospital, but his intake of food (compared to before the accident) is still down.
We have made a few changes to the kitchen in the caravan, which will ensure NO more accidents will ever happen again. We are currently staying at a big4 caravan park getting ready for our upcoming show. But once the show is over, we intend on continuing our trip to Tasmania.
We are very greatly appreciative of everyone that has helped, and supported Hunter and the Hall family getting back on the road.
We have now left the hospital and are back in the caravan, currently at a friends house. Hunter is a lot happier and returning back to his normal self.
Thankyou to everyone for your continued support and well wishes. We couldn't do it without you!
The blistering has returned to the top of Hunters head and is being treated with betadine.
We have been overwhelmed with all of Hunters supporters and would sincerely like to Thankyou from the bottom of our hearts.
