Help Hoss the Chocolate Lab

$3,760 of $4,000 goal

Raised by 95 people in 4 months
Our Chocolate Lab Hoss was admitted to the Pet Hospital I.C.U. on Monday Morning, January 7th, 2019.
His abdominal x rays and ultrasound proved two severe blockages; one in his stomach and one in his small intestine.
At 5 pm Hoss was taken to Emergency Surgery to save his life. Hoss was in surgery for 2 1/2 hours where they made a large 8 inch abdominal incision to remove the obstruction; this happened to be a regular dog treat thousands of dogs eat every day called, "cow hooves."
The surgeon removed large and small pieces of hoof material from the abdomen and he was able to "milk" smaller pieces through the small intestine without making a second incision. (Thank you Jesus!)
Hoss came out of surgery well and the best case scenario played out per the surgeon.

Hoss is now home. He came home Tuesday night on January 8th, 2019 and is resting comfortably.
His incision is BIG, he’s on a lot of medication, he’s lost some hair from the pre op shave, and he will be on special food, exercise restrictions and wearing the “cone of shame! BUT...... God is AWESOME & Hoss is home!

Hoss is FAMILY! We LOVE Hoss very much! He is only 4 years old and provides so much love and life to our family.
We don't have a "Pet Emergency Account."
And so we are asking you for any help you can give for Hoss and us.
We are grateful for your love, prayers and support.

Thank you to infinity! We will keep you posted on his condition with words, videos and pictures.
I post on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram .
With Much Love,
Brooke - Family- and Hoss!

His incision has healed up; he is back to normal foods, regular activity; and on he's off all medications! However, he still thinks he can't jump off the bed. Therefore, he is requiring assistance by whining for help to get his 80 pounds of chocolate, (LOL) off the bed. I'm sure he will be back to jumping in no time! I am in awe that we are so close to our goal for paying off Hoss's medical bills. I can't believe how so many of you, without knowing us personally, jumped in to help us in our time of need. And, I am so extremely grateful for every prayer, sweet and kind word, and every single donation. It is so undeserved and so appreciated!
We are celebrating Hoss's recovery and we're grateful for a God who heals even our animals!
Thank you Jesus!
I applaud you and send my love. I pray that God blesses you greatly for all you've done!
Thank you! Brooke Lynn!

Hey Everyone!! Hoss has his post op surgery appointment tonight! We’re praying for a clean and clear bill of health! He just started back on his regular food today, pain pills are down to one per day and his stomach acid medications and antibiotic course are now finished! Wow........ what a couple off weeks this has been. It's felt like having a sick child or family member to care for. But...... that is what Hoss is; he is our family and we love him. We are so grateful for your support. You have taken so much stress from us financially and I know your prayers have helped him heal quicker than normal! We love you!
Thank you for your prayers, love & support!
And if you can help, we’re almost to our goal!
We are praying and believing for the total 4000 dollar goal to cover expenses.
And it's not that we deserve this help; but it's that God is this gracious, loving and kind enough to work through all of you, to help us and supply all our needs.
Thank you Jesus!
Thank you every one!
"And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:19)

Happy Sunday Everyone! Hoss is doing well. He is taking life slower than normal but that's a good thing. His incision is healing nicely, he is eating, drinking and doing "his business" well. He is still on pain medications but only a couple days more left of antibiotics. We are spoiling him and loving on him more than ever! (if that is possible!) We are extremely grateful for people like you who help others in their time of need; even if it's for their beloved furry kiddo! Hoss is certainly our family and we are so appreciative of your kindness, love, prayers and financial support! We are half way to our GOAL for his vet bill. We need and appreciate you!
Thank you!! Love Brooke and Family!
