Help Heather empower women

About a year ago, my sister Heather, was selected to be the North American Representative on the Young Women’s Global Advisory Council through the World Office of the YWCA. She has been serving in this role with seven other young women from around the world with the mission of helping the World YWCA achieve their 2035 goal which states “By 2035, 100 million young women and girls transform power structures to create justice, gender equality and a world without violence and war; leading a sustainable YWCA movement, inclusive of all women.”
Fast forward to May 7th 2018. Heather received an email to the team inviting all of the women to join in a week long conference where the United Nations, World YWCA and the Human Rights Council will be discussing and co creating advocacy strategies to drive change nationally, regionally, and globally in working toward empowering and engaging young women in their communities as well as representing the voices of young women and helping advance their opportunities for leadership. This trip will take her to SWITZERLAND!!!
This trip as been funded through the contributions of the Australian government but not all expenses are covered. In order for her to make this trip happen, she will need to raise funds to cover the remaining costs (The local YWCA has offered to help, but cannot fill the funding gap completely as they are non-profit and funding help for a lot of women and children).
