Help Griffin Become a Software Engineer

Donation protected
Help a disabled queer non-binary person build a sustainable future.

Hello! I'm Griffin. I'm 23 years old. I was thinking of becoming an engineer for a while and wasn't sure I could do it; then, to my surprise, I got accepted into General Assembly's 3-month software engineering immersive!

I've had to make a lot of GoFundMe's. I've become tired of asking my community for financial assistance, but the below-poverty wages of SSDI and having to work unsustainable jobs that were really detrimental to my well-being have made it so I can't afford anything. Getting into General Assembly means I can work as a junior software engineer after graduating, and it would be a stable job with a much higher income than I have currently.

However! As I mentioned above, I have no money. The class itself is 40 hours a week with 20 additional hours of homework, so there's NO way I can work during that time. I need to be able to pay for the following:

- transportation
- food
- therapy copays
-phone bill
- a professional outfit for job interviews and networking
- misc. costs that will inevitably come up (for ex: my cane tips wearing out and needing to be replaced, vet bills, etc.)

I cannot stress this enough: this program will enable me to support myself with a career that I enjoy and care about, and it is really, really important to me that I am able to do it. My class starts on July 29th and I know there's no way I'll be able to raise this much money by then, so I will keep it open for a while.

Please share widely, and thank you so much for supporting me!
