Help Give Every Student a Yearbook!

At Cape May City Elementary School, we would absolutely love for every one of our students to receive a yearbook at no cost.

This year, we currently have 207 students in grades pre-school to sixth grade. Our student population is always fluctuating from year to year. The majority of our student population are dependents from active members of the United States Coast Guard since Cape May is the only training center for the Coast Guard. Cape May is also a resort town with very few year-round jobs for parents to support their families. With this being said, 51% of our school receives free or reduced lunch.

Last year, our students had to pre-order their yearbooks for $5.00 each and less than half of the students did so. Since this was the case, all those students missed out on their opportunity to remember their school year in the many years to come.

Being a United States Coast Guard dependent myself, I still reminisce on my childhood and bring out my yearbooks to relive those big memories from my elementary school years. You open the pages and wonder, What ever happened to Johnny Smith? or I cannot believe my mom let me wear that to school!

As the 2016-2017 yearbook coordinator, I would love for all the students at Cape May City Elementary School to be able to relive these memories -- even when they're in their thirties.

We meet once a week afterschool for 40 minutes.
The yearbook is 100% planned, designed, and developed by our yearbook club members.
