Help get Desiree's home prepared

On Saturday, February 25th, 2017, sixteen year old Desiree Ortiz went to a party with some  friends. She wasn't there for very long before a random fight broke out between two other individuals  and shots were fired. Unfortunately, Desiree was caught in the crossfire and was shot in the shoulder. The bullet punctured her right lung and severed her spinal cord. After hitting her spinal cord the bullet then bounced down and exited her body out of the left side of her back. Luckily, the bullet missed her heart and any major arteries. She has undergone many surgeries and her back is now fused with metal rods. She is resting in the hospital with a back brace and a breathing tube. Her punctured lung is now filling with fluid and the doctors are now focusing their attention on that. She is currently fighting for her life. Her father is there by her side praying she makes it through and is mentally preparing himself for the long journey they have ahead. Because of Desiree's injuries the odds of her walking again are against her and her father needs help to prepare his home for her new way of life. This all comes just a week after Desiree's younger brother was in a horrible car accident. He is home recovering after a six day hospital stay. He is doing well, but still has months of recovery left.
