Who am I?
My name is Arielle Boucher and I am a Franco-American, musical theater enthusiast currently working and living in Grinnell Iowa as an admission counselor at Grinnell College. I graduated from Smith College, where I studied Music & German Studies, and concentrated in the Smiffenpoofs (the nation's oldest traditionally all female a cappella group).
I was accepted into the National Theater Institute at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center for the upcoming fall semester in the Music Theater Program. I am beyond excited to be heading to Waterford Connecticut this September, but as you may have guessed, it comes at a significant cost and this is where I need your help.
How much is NTI?
NTI costs $26,300 for the semester. I was fortunate to receive a scholarship for $12,000, which is amazing, but I still needed to come up with the other $14,300. I was able to pay $2,300 for the initial deposit and the first payment, which brings me to $12,000. A few weeks ago I had a fundraising concert at home on Bainbridge Island and raised $2,316. That leaves me with $9,684! Amazing!
The tuition of the program covers:
•Tuition
•Housing
•Three Meals a day
•Two Weeks All-Inclusive residency in New York City
•Theater tickets (approximately 16 shows throughout the semester)
This does not include other expenses including getting to Connecticut from Grinnell, the books and plays I need to buy for the program, deposits for my room and keys etc., which will all add up to roughly $500-800. With your help, I am aiming to raise $10,000!
This is truly a life changing experience for me and will serve as a springboard for my pursuit of work in music and theater. I would be so grateful if you would join me in this great endeavor!

NTI is an ensemble based theater making experience that lasts 14 weeks, 7 days a week, 10 hours a day. I will have a few days off over Thanksgiving, and I will spend two weeks in New York City seeing shows, doing workshops, and networking. More information about the program can be found here.
