Help fund young Chicana's education

Donation protected
Hola, my name is Sarita! I am 13 year old accomplished Chicana poet, artist, community activist and aspiring Broadway star! My familia and I are from Albuquerque, NM. My community is what gives me inspiration for my art and activism. Coming from one of the poorest states in the nation, my education is very important for me to succeed. I applied last spring to attend one of Albuquerque's most prestigious college preparatory schools, Bosque School, for the 2018-2019 school year. I am so very proud to say that I was accepted! Plus, I was awarded a financial aid scholarship worth $18,000 of the $23,100 yearly tuition. This left my family with having to pay the remaining balance of $5,100.  So far, my amazing community has helped me raise $1,600, which leaves $3,500 left for my tuition for the year. I know that this is not a large amount of money to some people, but for my family this is a big sacrifice. To help, I am trying to book features for me to perform my poetry and lead writing workshops within my community. I have big dreams of using my art and activism to make a positive impact within our world, but without a quality education this might not be possible for me. I have added my bio so you can get to know me a little more. Please consider donating to my campaign for my education. Who knows, you might be funding a future president of the USA!!!
