Help for the Marsh Family
Life has dealt us a lot of lemons in the past few months and it keeps piling on. It is incredibly difficult for us to ask for help, but it has become unavoidable. We are completely devastated that both Bernie and JoAnn have been diagnosed with bone cancer. JoAnn has battled breast cancer for many years and is now fighting metastatic breast cancer. Bernie recently has been diagnosed with cancer, as the doctors had a difficult time pinpointing the origin, we now have answers and he is now facing Chemo treatments. The medical bills are piling up, and the copays are astronomical. Bernie is once again admitted into the hospital while waiting for answers and trying to get him healthy enough to come home. With Bernie being unable to work suddenly and unexpectedly they need more support then we are able to give them on our own. We are blessed to have wonderful friends and family help us though this difficult time, and prayers are more than welcome. Thank you❤️+ Read More
It’s been a long day! Bernie is back in the hospital, hoping he will bounce back soon! Thank you for your prayers and support. Everyone has been so kind and generous. Love you all!
Thank you so much for all you have done. You have rallied, supported, and helped make this crazy journey so much easier. Right now my dad is continuing his chemo treatments, 3 more, fingers crossed. He is getting stronger but chemo is tough on the body and soul. Prayers for him to stay strong. My mom is such a fighter and continues to be the strongest woman I know. I am amazed at how wonderful everyone has been and I can never express my thanks enough in words alone. Love you all!
It’s been awhile since I posted an update, things have been a bit busy! Both my mom and Dad are now both at Abington Jefferson Health Asplundh Cancer Center. Our experience there has been above and beyond anywhere else we’ve been for a variety of reasons. Most importantly they are a NON-PROFIT unlike other places we’ve been, and I’ll leave it at that. You sure learned a lot about medical care, insurance companies, and all the craziness that goes into a long-term illness. Bernie is getting stronger every day! He steadily gaining weight, has more energy, no longer needs a wheelchair or a walker, and gets around just fine with his cane. Just a few more chemo treatments and then he will be rescanned to see where we are at. Prayers for a positive outcome! As always I cannot thank everyone enough for their continued generosity, support, help, and sometimes a shoulder to cry on. We love you all so much and are blessed to have everyone of you in our lives
Today Bernie had his third round of chemo, he’s getting his energy back, and seems much more peppy. He has gained back 9 pounds since last Monday, which is very exciting considering how much is lost. Thank you all for your thoughts, prayers, and well wishes!
