Help For a Disabled Firefighter

I am setting this up for my father Gerald T. Nopper Sr. The purpose is to try to raise money to help him with his recent and ongoing medical bills. My father was a firefighter in Albany, NY for 27 years, finally retiring after becoming disabled because of injuries sustained on the job.

A little bit about him. There has never been a person more compassionate, helpful and generous. He always helps others in any way he can nomatter the burden he may place on himself. Through his work as a firefighter and his personal life he is the absolute definition of a hero! Anyone that knows him would say the same.

Due to multiple injuries from his work as a firefighter he can barely walk short distances and when he does has constant pain. He has had to go through multiple surgeries as of late including a shoulder replacement, a hip replacement and due to a fall while recovering from his hip replacement he broke the same hip and had to have an additional surgery to repair it once more. In addition, he is due to have yet another surgery. This time for his back.

 It is not in my father's nature to ask for help from anyone. However, all these surgeries have created a very heavy financial burden. Because of that, I am asking anyone who can possibly do so to please help him in any way you can. Please share this with everyone you know.

Let's help support a great man who now has to pay a terrible price for being so selfless. His work has saved a great many lives so let's do what we can to help make his just a little better!
