Help fix BROKEN house

My mom Cindy and step-dad Don bought my moms childhood home in GANANOQUE to look after my Grandmother Pat. They sold their house in Port Hope and moved to Gananoque bag and baggage. To make the house 'older person friendly' they did some costly renovations.
When it came time to replace the roof which was in the budget they were dealt a nasty blow. Way back maybe 100 years ago the house had a gable roof renovation. Back then there were no building codes and safety practices. It was discovered the roof trusses were all broken and had to be replaced. The house was caving in on itself . The roofing job was halted immediately and tarps were put over the roof to keep it dry.
They contacted their insurance but because it was due to poor workmanship when the house was built in the 1900's or late 1800's there was no coverage.
So they went off to the bank to remortgage because it is bigger job than a simple roof. THE WHOLE TOP OF THE HOUSE HAD TO COME OFF.
The top came off and was tarped off while waiting for the truss delivery . Bad weather happened and the double layers of covering came off and the house got flooded. All the downstairs was destroyed. Brand new floors ...gone. Walls...gone. New handi accessible bathroom ...gone. It's been very hard for everyone . My grandmother has been staying at her sisters and my mom and step-dad are at a friend's cottage .
Because the job has been so much bigger than ever imagined I'm asking for help. Help get my family back into their home . Mom and Don are both waiting on surgeries and can't so any work themselves so they had to hire a local contractor .
They are not fancy people . They just need a safe place to live .
