Help Evacuate Hope Grows Mission Directors

Gord and Heather Rodin, directors of Hope Grows Haiti, are stuck in Grand Goave, Haiti as a result of civil unrest and violent protests.
Their only option to leave Haiti is to fly out of the Port Au Prince airport by Tuesday February 19th as some airlines are ceasing to fly as of Wednesday. Unfortunately, they are unable to get to the airport due to road blocks and protesting across the country.
They must charter a helicopter to take them to the airport fromMission, 65 kms from the capital city. The cost for this charter is $2,400 USD.
They have not heard anything from the Canadian government in terms of assistance to get them out.
Please help us get them home by raising funds to pay for the helicopter so they can get on a flight before the airport shuts down!

**If you have been following the team of nurses that recently fundraised money for their own helicopter, here are some updates:
- The helicopter can only take 8 people which is why Gord and Heather need an additional charter.
- The funds raised over and above the nurses GoFundMe page were designated to the medical care of a young boy who was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident on the afternoon of February 17th. While this has been a difficult experience for everyone involved, we are thankful the nurses team were still present at the Mission to provide immediate medical assistance in this emergency.
