Two years ago the Sharon, Massachusetts Police department posted that Erik was wanted on charges of child rape with force as well as assault and battery of a child. The post included the two pictures shown. They also said they felt he might flee the country. They said they had performed a lengthy investigation.
After two years in jail, Erik was found INNOCENT OF ALL CHARGES by the Norfolk County Superior court on June 17th, 2018
A couple of things, even though there were not even allegations of force or assault and battery, the Sharon Police said there were. It made the story more interesting we suppose. There was never any attempt to flee, Erik walked into the courthouse surrendering to clear himself of these charges. Lengthy investigation quoted by the Sharon Police? Less then 6 days.
The post by Sharon Police was shared directly thousands of times and was picked up by virtually all newspapers and TV stations and many around the country. Ruining his reputation.
His innocence will likely be little reported if at all.
Even though he had not been convicted of any crime anytime - HE WAS FOUND NOT GUILTY OF ANY CHARGE, Sharon Police arranged for Erik to be whisked by immigration agents from the courthouse straight from the lock up as he was being freed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. His family could not even see or hug him
Erik and his family are now faced with over $30,000 in legal bills and we ask for your help in this trying time.
