Help Eleventh Hour sue UF

Donation protected

On Dec. 30, 2011, Eleventh Hour for Animals won our first lawsuit againt the University of Florida, securing horrific pictures and records of monkeys being tortured in their labs. For five years, they worked relentlessly to silence us and keep their animal torture industry secret.

We now know they are doing infectious disease research, blindness experiments, and other grueling regimens; federal grants having been awarded for projects involving mice, dogs, and monkeys. UF is once again barring access to these public records. And we need these documents to demonstrate what federally-compliant animal "welfare" looks like -- the one thing they would rather the world never see.

In early December, Eleventh Hour for Animals will be meeting with our attorney, Marcy I. LaHart, in Gainesville to sue the university once again, or pursue any other legal avenues Ms. LaHart deems appropriate. Her fee is $400 plus a $50 filing fee.

If we are successful, the University of Florida will ultimately be responsible for all of our legal fees. And, just as we have always done in the past, any money reimbursed by the university will go back into our on-the-ground protests at this institution or be used to fund appeals or further legal actions against the vivisection industry.

Thank you in advance for supporting Eleventh Hour for Animals' efforts to wage an effective and tactically-diverse initiative to ultimately shut down the labs inside the University of Florida.
