Dear Friends,
Last Sunday, our Club was burglarized and vandalized. When something like this happens, it is hard to put into words what YOU feel, but it is even harder to explain to children. Suddenly, THEIR safe haven does not feel so safe anymore and they don’t understand. More than 80 children, members of our Dogwood Terrace Club, have no where to go in the after school hours for at least 2 weeks. THINGS at our Club are damaged and destroyed, but the SPIRIT of our children, mentors, leaders and volunteers are not! The doors are closed now, but they will open again!
Because of the publicity, alumni from all over and friends in our community have called us, emailed us and stopped by our offices to say that they want to help. So, here is the way. It is going to cost thousands of dollars for us to get the DOORS back open and recreate a safe haven for our children. You asked, and here is how you can help.
