Battling complex medical dx's and retaliatory CPS call by unethical Neurologist
It physically hurts to create this campaign as we never wanted to ask anyone for help. As many of you know, we have an ASD/SN son (15) and a complex SN daughter who over time has been dx'd with Mito/LHON/EDS/Bipolar/Severe anxiety/Hashimoto's Disease. Recently, our pediatric Neuro at a local Children's hospital retired. We were assigned to a new Ped Neuro who we were verbally assured was a "mito specialist". I have since been unable to find any verification of that claim at all.
My daughter and I saw this new female Ped Neuro for two visits. Each time, the Neuro brought a resident in with her and loudly, firmly insisted the resident stay regardless of my firm, polite requests for the resident to leave because it made my daughter uncomfortable. My daughter and husband also requested the residents leave. It took about 10 minutes of back&forth arguing each visit before the resident finally stepped out. 3 days after the 2nd visit, I got a call stating our family had been turned into CPS for seeking too much medical care and excessive meds for my dd. Mind you, our very first visit with this Neuro she tried to refer us to yet another doctor at another hospital. And our very first visit with this Neuro, I asked if we could wean my dd off TWO different meds. A request she denied.
CPS has visited our home and interviewed all four members of our family. Because we will not consent to 1. Releasing all our medical/psych records to them 2. Having all 4 members of our family be evaluated by THEIR psychologist and 3. Going through THEIR therapy for an *undetermined* amount of time - we are being taken to court to force all these issues by requesting a court order.
I absolutely believe in my heart that it is CPS' plan to remove my children from our home and put them into the foster care system ASAP. SN/ASD children are worth more than other children in the foster care system in terms of federal monies. My children are nothing but pawns and money-makers in this evil system.
We live very modestly and legal representation is beyond our means. If you can spare a dime or a dollar to help us with legal and other expenses during this crucial time, we thank you so much.
