Empower Dayton Artists

$300 of $1,000 goal

--See update 3 for pictures of the new space!--

Last September, I founded a photography studio co-share called Dayton Studio Collective.  DSC empowers local photographers to practice and improve their craft by giving them access to affordable studio space: Just $150 for 30 hours per month.

You can learn more about the DSC Story here

We started with 4 members and by February of this year we doubled in size which necessitated a second studio location. I began the process of finding a larger space but this search process has taken longer than expected.  Meanwhile, our artists have to contend with lack of storage, cramped work space and availability issues that come with 8 people sharing one space.  I’ve also had to assemble a waiting list of interested photographers because we’re at capacity in our current studio and can’t add any more.

To resolve this issue, I’ve acquired a second studio space to relieve the pressure starting in June.  This second 1200 sq ft space will give our 8 artists suitable space to work and greater freedom to schedule.  However, there’s much to be done still and the hunt for a larger more permanent home continues.

This is where you come in.  I’m hoping to raise $1000 to help with expansion expenses related to launching this second space.  This includes the deposit for a second lease, necessary equipment that photographers need to shoot, and supplies needed for ongoing operations.  100% of the funds raised will go towards DSC operations and equipment.

As you know, Jaze Companies and its brands invest heavily in the talents of creatives.  Most of our services and resources are offered either for free or priced greatly under-market.  Helping and investing in people is my life’s work and I count it a privilege that I get to live it out in this way. I’m hoping for your support to help carry that mission forward. Your contribution, of any amount, will enable me to empower and equip even more people.

If you can’t give at all I completely understand.  I would appreciate it if you would share my campaign with some friends of yours.  Every little bit will help.
