Help Dana get through chemotherapy

Donation protected
Life is full of surprises. Most of them are joyful, but there are times where joy becomes sadness. On June 3rd, Dana had a seizure caused by a brain tumor in her left frontal lobe. My brother Kyle came home from working to find her incoherent in their bedroom. He rushed her to the hospital where she immediately underwent a CT scan revealing the lesion. She was transported to Hospital of University of Pennsylvania where she was put in a medically induced coma for 2 days. More tests and MRIs were performed revealing the seriousness of the problem Dana was facing. After being woken up from the coma, Dana was told three words that no person should ever have to hear in their life "You have cancer."

The doctor told her the best option was to perform surgery and safely remove as much of the tumor as possible, without creating deficits. The surgeon successfully removed 99 percent of the tumor, but could not remove the final 1 percent because it was based on the language barrier in her brain. Following surgery Dana underwent 33 rounds of radiation and has since completed 2 of 6 rounds of chemotherapy. The MRIs since surgery, radiation, and the first two rounds of chemotherapy show that the remaining tumor is responding to treatment, but Dana needs to finish out her cycles to destroy the remaining cells.

There's really no easy way to say this, but Dana and her family need help financially. Her medical bills are beginning to pile up from 2017 and with the beginning of the year, Dana needs to meet her deductible and copays to receive the medication necessary for chemotherapy. All funds will be directly transferred to Dana and her family to use towards the ongoing medical expenses. Thank you for the support of the brave young woman and we will keep you updated as her treatment progresses. Any excess funds that we can collect will be donated to cancer research!
