Hello everyone!!
It embarrasses me to no end to have to ask friends, family and strangers for help, but I have little to no choice and every little bit will help.
I am 29 years old and I am expecting my first child this October named Connor. My Fiance and I are so excited, as we lost our previous pregnancy and were so scared to hope with this one.
In April I was admitted to Yale hospital with Acute Pancreatitis, which is a very rare occurance in pregnancy. I had triglyceride (cholesterol) levels in the 9000s (anything over 170 is high! ) and was experiencing severe pain in my abdomen that traveled towards my left side and back. I was hospitalized for a week without food or water, hooked up to ivs for fluids and insulin and finally my levels were normal and I was sent home.
Since then, I have been out of work due to Drs orders and a high risk pregnancy, and struggling desperately to pay for my house and bills.
Jump to the 21st of June. I am 24 weeks pregnant now and started experiencing the same pain I was hospitalized for. I was again admitted into Yale hospital. After a week of trying to figure out a way to help me safely function at home without risk of pancreatitis, heart attack or stroke due to my high levels, Dr's have decided the safest thing for my baby Connor and I, is to stay hospitalized until it is safe to deliver.
Unfortunately my condition is genetic and there are little to no studies or clinical trials performed to help me; it is a very rare form I have and present with.
Because of this, I am unable to pay my bills and am close to losing my home. I was on payment plans to decrease my balances, but since being unable to pay due to being hospitalized and restricted from working, I have defaulted on those payments with no leniency and they are collecting in full.
I am praying for a miracle and hoping that all of you will help me to save my home so I have a place to bring my baby boy home to when he finally arrives.
