My mum, Coco, was  diagnosed with Stage III Lung Cancer, SVC syndrome and COPD in May of this year. Since then, her disease has unfortunately progressed into Stage IV and is now in need to Hospice care at home. 

If you know my mother you know she is an against all odds kind of woman, always with an open heart and a warm meal for any one that comes through the door of our home. She has managed to survived what was an extremely difficult childhood where she overcame extreme poverty, and fought against all odds to get an education. She has nothing but love in her heart, and makes everyone always feel like family. She is one of the most kind people you will ever meet, and you can always find her helping, or comforting someone.  Even now, she is always making sure everyone is ok. 

 Those of you that know me know that I am not a sit around kind of person and that it kills me not being able to help make things better for her. But fundraise and organising events is the best I can contribute to alleviate some of this burden for her. I am reaching out to the community to help cover some of the costs she has acquired as she tried to battle this disease. I want to make her as comfortable as possible, and I know that helping cover some of her medical debt would go a long way in doing that.
