Our good friend Ryan has been there for us through many good, fun, and difficult times. He's always been ready with a helping hand, whether it was introducing us to the wild world of Amazon, teaching us something new, or just being a great friend when we needed it. It's hard to think of someone who is more willing to jump in and be there to do the right thing.

It’s our turn to help Ryan and his family however we can. As some of you may already know, Ryan had to have surgery to remove an infection that was next to his spine. Unfortunately the surgery ended with complications and Ryan came out of surgery paralyzed from the chest down. He will be in a rehab hospital for several months. The Leslie family home will need to be remodeled to accommodate a wheelchair and they will also need to purchase a different vehicle. It’s unknown what insurance will cover and what type of long term care will be needed.

Any donation will go directly to Ryan and his family to help cover medical and home care expenses.

Absolutely incredible to see over $50k raised in a week!

Ryan has been accepted to the rehab program they have been hoping for at UW. Before he can go he needs to be able to tolerate sitting up, so they will be reassessing on Monday to see if he is ready to be transferred.

Amy has setup a caringbridge site where she will be posting updates on Ryan, you can setup an account (it’s easy) and follow along for email updates on his progress here - https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/ryanleslie

Ryan and his family have a long road ahead, but they’re very strong people. The kind words and generosity all of you have shown is a great reminder that we’re all here for them. Thank you all so much!

I wanted to do an update today so that I could personally say thank you to all of you. Ryan and I are blown away by your generosity. At this time, we are still waiting to hear what rehab hospital Ryan will transfer to, but are hopeful we will find out in the next few days. We did find out that insurance will not cover any home modifications or remodeling, so this Go Fund Me will prove to be a true blessing for us. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. -Amy & Ryan
