Help Chubby Dog Walk Again

Two years ago, Chubby needed a back surgery that left him paralyzed, potentially temporarily, in his back legs. At the time Chubby's Dad and I ended a long term relationship, and my financial situation changed entirely. Soon after that, I lost my job, and despite never missing a payment, high interest rates (hi Care Credit) have meant that I maintained his surgery debt, but never actually paid it down.
Since then, he has had had a number of infections, illnesses, and doctors visits that have amounted to thousands more dollars in medical bills. All of those have been paid but that initial surgery expense remains.
I had just finished a large payment a few months ago, but that's when he finally began physical therapy. He is doing great! He is starting to walk again. :)
What I didn't expect at the time of his surgery, and presently, is that I would find myself unemployed (again). I spent the last month making a financial plan to pay off his bills over the next year and a half, but was unexpectantly laid off after just adding hundreds more dollars to that debt in the last two months for his therapy. Oops! Life. :)
Over the years I have thought of making a GoFundMe but there always seemed to be something or someone who needed money more and it made me too uncomfortable. But I know that part of asking for help is being open to receiving it; I know that helping other people when they need it is immediate and invaluable; and that not asking for help is preventing someone else from giving, when giving can feel so good in situations where it's hard to help in any other way.
So, two years late and somehow right on time, I humbly yet without shame am open to receiving help.
100% of money raised will go directly to Chubby's bills.
