Christine's miracle recovery

Donation protected
Christine delivered her beautiful baby on February 23rd. She went home on Feb.25th and began not feeling well. On Monday she took the baby for his checkup and the pediatrician noticed she did not look well. She was very weak and pale. They called 911 and she was taken to the hospital. From there all went downhill. She was taken by medflight to Rhode island hospital where she went straight into surgery. Her body had been infected with bacteria and they told her her options. Don't have sugery and you will not live an hour or have surgery and you have a 50/50 chance. She went in fighting and took the chance. She had to have her uterus and ovaries removed due to the bacteria. Once out of surgery she went into cardiac arrest and they gave her only an hour to live. She continued to fight. Her organs began to be effected with the bacteria so she had to go on kidney dialysis and breathing tubes. No one recognized her as they blew her up with fluids to try and flush her body. She has continued the will to fight and I think it's because of the will to see her family. She has never been one to give up. She has been termed the miracle patient. After only holding that baby 2 days and the love for her 6 year old daughter and husband just keeps her alive. There is going to be a long road for Christine but we believe she will continue to fight. There is no nicer and more deserving of a wonderful life than Christine. We hope with God's blessings she will continue to improve and be able to speak to us.
