Help Charlotte get a service dog

Donation protected
Hello! We are trying to raise money for a mobility assistance dog for Charlotte. Charlotte is (almost) 3 and was recently diagnosed with a rare and severe form of muscular dystrophy: LGMD2C. She will likely lose her ability to walk by 10 and her life at 20.

She loves animals and wants to be a doctor. She is charming and empathetic. She loves everyone and makes friends wherever we go.

As the disease progresses, she will have trouble doing simple things like walking across a room, getting up off the floor, and going up stairs. She will have to see a long list of specialists including a cardiologist, a pulmonologist, a neurologist, and a physical therapist.

A service dog will be able to help her stay mobile and independent as long as possible; a mobility dog can help her get up off the ground and walk across rooms. It will help her stay active and improve her self esteem. It will give her a loyal friend while she attends too many medical appointments, and provide her comfort during the ones that hurt.

Acquiring a service dog is a long and expensive process. She will 5 by the time a dog is available for her, which is around the time children with this disease start losing motor skills. All funds from this campaign will be used to finance our portion of the training and care of a service dog.

I hope you will consider donating. Our family greatly appreciates whatever you contribute. Please contact me if have any questions. Also, please share everywhere you can.

Thank you so much.

I've included a link to the organization we are working with.
