Hi, my name is Carole. I’m 57 years old.
I just found out yesterday evening in the emergency room after several tests of the period of 4 hours I have lesions on my sternum, thoracic area of my back and in my right hip.
The excruitating right hip pain caused me to go the ER in the first place. I thought I had a blood clot. Because the pain was in my inner groin.
So instead the doctor came into the room with tears in his eyes and told me that my tests, several tests all pointed to cancerous lesions types on my back, my hip and my chest.
When I take a deep breath my sternum hurts. The pain radiated to my right breast. I thought it was my lung. I thought I had an infection in my lung. Instead its pain radiating from the lesions on my sternum.
I am a disabled RN. My husband and I are living on very little money.
My husband is my caregiver. He does all the grocery shopping, feeds the pets, makes sure I'm clean, washes the clothes, puts the garbage out, cooks, gets up multiples times at night to give me breathing treatments and help me to the bathroom and he also cleans our home. He does so much.
I need help financially as there are expenses outside of insurance for medications, unknown money needs that will consume much of my needed income to pay the bills I am trying to pay.
I am in bankruptsy court because of the lack of money brought into the house over a course of time because of the number of hospital admissions in the past few years causing very big problems with paying bills.
I do not like asking for help. But anything you can give, even a dollar, can help towards expenses, unknow expenses. Such as medicines, travel, equipment and I need grab bars near my toilet.
The pain getting up from the toilet is the worst I have ever experienced in my life.
I need help.
I worked my entire life as a public servant in which I gave to society and the community my nursing capabilities as an RN at the bedside.
The bank tried to forclose on me but I am in chapter 13 and they could still take the house.

And it will be a prayer of Thanks as my husband and I are struggling to make ends meet. Because of my previous illness and now we are battling the introduction of the multiple lessions in my body.
