We believe that education is the only way to break out of the cycle of agriculture of subsistence, which is what our community is based so far.
Our mission is provide education for the children of Kehillat Kasuku. We have 19 children in all, ages ranging from elementary to college.
Kehillat kasuku was founded over 20 years ago.
The hills around majestic Mt. Kenya are home to the Ol Kalou-Kasuku Jewish community. For years, this community has been observing mitzvot, keeping Shabbat, maintaining kashrut, celebrating Jewish holidays, and following Jewish traditions. The community consists of 130 members. Our children are the next generation of Kenyan Jewry, and for them we work.
