Help Bob Patterson Medical Expenses

On Thursday  August 16, my brother, Bob Patterson, suffered a stroke on the right side of his brain.  This resulted in paralysis to his entire left side.  He has been in the hospital in St. Petersburg, Florida, in and out of Intensive Care, ever since. He has slowly gotten some feeling back in his left hand and foot, but he does not have mobility or use of his left side. He needs extensive rehabilitation and will be transferred to a rehab facility once he is able to be released from the hospital.

Bob and his wife, Betty, moved to Florida 4 months ago, hoping to spend their retirement years in a warmer climate. Both Bob and Betty are on Disability and have not had any insurance since moving to Florida.  Florida state will not approve Medicare for him, stating that he has to live in the state for 2 years before he will be considered for Medicare or Medicaid. Their medical bills are adding up quickly and are already over $65000.00.
