Help Bill walk again!

Donation protected

Hi this is Mary, Bills wife.

After 32 years of law enforcement,  Bill has been left with a myraid of physical limitations. None more serious than chronic spinal issues which have caused pain, numbness, instability and reduced his quality of life dramatically.
He had his first spinal surgery in June of 2016 and is scheduled for a second surgery by the end of this month.
He has a spinal fracture as well as a herniated disc, severe spinal stenosis and limited range of motion. The surgeon will open him up  from the stomach, move internal organs aside in order to do multiple fusions. They will have to insert rods and secure them through an incision in his back.
His pain has progressed to wear he can't walk more than a few feet at a time and he recently had his legs colapse from beneath him. He is unable to stand upright and has lost all muscle mass in his left leg. His feet are numb due to the nerves being pinched by the herniated disc. He averages 3-4 hours of sleep per night and fatigues quite easily from the pain. We recently learned than he has a rare type of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA factor B26) which attacks his spine as well.
He can no longer maintain the 18 acres we moved to in BRYSON, TX for his retirement. He can manage about 15 minutes working on the tractor before the pain takes over. This has been emotionally and mentally devastating for Bill. He spent his entire life being very active. Walking dogs, back packing with his sons and staying in excellent physical condition. He still loves life and tries not to let this get him down. He knows things could be much worse and feels blessed to be alive!
Anyone who knows Bill from work knows the type of person he is. He is the most kind hearted, generous and loving person I know.  He was forced to retire 18 months early from a job he loved and was passionate about.
Without this surgery, Bill's condition will continue to deteriorate. This could forced him to use a wheel chair for the rest of his life and cause permanent incontinence.
The funds received will satisfy the balance of his out of pocket maximum, his current emergency room bill and some physical therapy.
His surgery is going to be the end of October and the hospital will require payment  on the day of his procedure. It is urgent that we raise this money prior to his surgery date or it will need to be postponed.
This man has given so much to so many.  He always put his family first and did without so that we didn't have to.
I would gladly take his place if it were possible. He is the love of my life and my best friend!

I thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide.
