Help Bernard the Rat!

ETA: The vet apparently understated the costs, so I have had to increase my goal to £350 -- £120 for the biopsy and £200 for the surgery to remove the lump, plus additional costs that may occur. I'm sorry to have to do this but he is very lovely.
Bernard is one of my two pet rats and he has a lump on his neck. The vet can't tell what it is without a biopsy but he has already been on anti-inflammatories and an antibiotics, and she thinks it's not an abcess because the lump is hard to the touch. So signs point increasingly towards a tumour.
Bernard is one year old and rats typically live two to three years, and the vet seems to think that as long as they don't find anything too horrible in the biopsy then having the lump removed will allow him to live a normal lifespan.
So the next step is a biopsy, which they have quoted at about £60, and a lumpectomy which should be about £150. I can't afford this sort of price but I love Bernard a lot and so does his brother that he lives with. Hence this GoFundMe campaign. I am asking for £250 in case of unforeseen costs but if I get that much and don't need it I will donate any extra money to someone else's rat GoFundMe, chosen at random.
Ideally I need the money right away so I can take him to get the biopsy next week and then the lump can be removed ASAP.
I understand that to many people he is "just a rat" but he has been a good companion to me and I don't want him to die if it can be avoided through vetinary intervention. Bernard and I are grateful for any and all help we can get on this, thanks for reading and for any donations to the cause.
