Help Bailey kick cancer

About 2 months ago, Bailey started limping. As any good mom would do I took her to the vet to have her checked out. I was told that "it's probably a torn ACL. Just have her rest and take Rimadyl ( an anti-inflammatory) for a week or two, and see if there is any improvement in her. After two weeks there was little to no difference in Bailey's condition so I called the vet to follow-up. I was blown off and told that they have exhausted all measures and there was nothing more that could be done. Obviously that was not an acceptable answer so I took her to another vet for a second opinion. After doing x-rays and scans ,a huge mass was found on her leg. I was told that it is pushing on her bone and that unfortunately there is no way to remove just the tumor. The only option at this point is a full amputation of her rear leg. If the leg is not removed her pain will continually get worse and the leg will eventually shatter. I was and am completely devastated . After consulting with a surgeon, and radiologist, the three agreed that the tumor is most likely osteosarcoma. We are trying to schedule the surgery within the next week to take care of this as quickly as possible before any further damage is done. I will not know if she will need chemotherapy or not until her leg is tested. The amputation is $3000, & there will be several other costs associated with this. She will need a special harness to assist her with going to the bathroom, and I will have to cover our hardwood floors with mats so it will be easier for her to navigate through the house and adjust to only having three legs. Anyone who knows me knows that my boxer Bailey is my whole heart, and I will do anything possible to give her the very best quality of life.
