Adi Sanders, tons of one off art pieces.. including my entire sleeve of my left arm, antiques, framed art pieces...partially completed tattoo pieces that will need many many man hours to re-draw for patrons...you really think an insurance adjuster would compensate for these items? Hopefully you have a nice day and that clears up your confusion.

Adi, I can understand why you are confused. As someone who has lost a business to a fire I can assure you that insurance doesn't cover everything. I got so frustrated when people assumed that we were fine because we had insurance. And in this situation it could take awhile for the insurance to be paid out. Hope that helps you understand why this gofundme site was set up.

In response to Adi's comment posted earlier, I am not licensed in the state of Oregon anymore, but as a former Oregonian insurance agent, I will declare that it is very difficult for any tattoo shop to get much coverage due to the risk factors involved. That being said, it can also take a bit of time before anyone receives a check. Every day they are without a space, they lose money, especially when their appointment books are potentially all gone, including so much more that can't possibly be replaced. Thank you for all of your contributions! Much love to all of you.

Not that I don't think this isn't a tragic and horrible thing to have happen, but other than their insurance deductible, they should have dwelling rebuild protection on the policy that would take care of all of this. I'm confused.

Callum & I are just devastated for the shop but so thankful everyone is okay. If any hard drives or computers can be salvaged in any way, Callum would love to be able to offer his help by trying to see if he can get anything off them (pictures, scans, records ect.). Please let us know. Our thoughts are with you guys.

Until I read the article in the NW Examiner, I had no idea just how bad this was. I pray that in time, you and your family are able to get back to doing what you do best and build an even greater business.
