Here is another testimonial from another recipient!

Thank you so much for this blessing. My partner and I have both taken up an extra job (Uber drivers) to help pay for our mortgage and house bills. This blessing feels undeserved - but how grateful we are to have the opportunity to get back on track with our bills. The generosity of APS Employees has truly been a great blessing. Derrick and I are very humbled and thankful.

Greetings Generous Donors and Friends:

Wow. Just wow. Because of your overwhelming kindness, our APS employees whose households were impacted by the federal government shutdown got critical financial assistance during such an uncertain and trying time. Your incredible donations to our GoFundMe campaign raised enough to give each affected APS employee a check in the amount of $1,882.78!

We heard from so many of our hardworking employees, about the hardship they experienced during the shutdown. We heard from them that they had to make difficult decisions with one paycheck about life’s basic necessities like food, lights, water, and gas. Some missed mortgage payments and car payments. Many had household members who were essential and had to work without pay while they had to support multiple children or babies on the way on one paycheck.

Your love and thoughtfulness lifted this burden. Said one of the recipients, “OMG!!!! I am literally in class teaching and broke down in tears!!!!! Thank you so very much!! I have had a game face on and I teach with a passion, but my insides have eaten me up and I was thinking this morning what can I do to bring in extra income to make up for the loss. Prayers and much appreciation for your thoughtfulness and compassion for employees!”

We appreciate you joining us in our effort to take care of those who take care of Atlanta’s kids!
