Help Angolan practical skill centre
I'm a Catholic missionary priest working in the parish Santa Isabel, Kicolo, Luanda, Angola.
My parish is in Kicolo, a part of Luanda at a deplorable state. The high poverty among the people has resulted to many being outside school, no job and a very high crime rate.
As missionaries, we opened a non-profit-making centre called CENTRO NAZARÉ aimed at offering some practical courses to the youths so that they can have a skill and earn money instead of crime. We offer courses on Sewing (dressmaking), cooking and baking, electricity, and hairdressing.
It's been a very good service which the people loved and thanked us, and more keep coming to learn.
Main problem is that we pay our 5 employees/formators about $300 per month making it about $1500.
We used to get benefactors from Italy who helped us pay just for last year.
Right now we have nowhere to get money to continue to pay the formators. In order not to close this centre that have helped many youths in our Angolan area, we need donations to help us keep the centre running at least for a year, and we see what goes on from there.
Your generousity will be greatly appreciated and you'll always be in our prayers, as we hope that the Lord bless you abundantly in return.
