Help Alex pay for dental surgery!
Donation protected
Hey everyone! I'm Alex. I'm 25 years old, queer and disabled, and in need of a bit of financial help.

See that hole? A year ago, I had a tooth crack near the front of my face. Due to a weird medical anomaly, a permanent tooth had never grown in there, and this baby tooth was finally giving up the ghost after about 24 years. On top of that, due to previous diabetic complications, my wisdom teeth had never been removed since my A1C wasn't low enough to use anesthetic. I was trying to leave it for as long as possible, but unfortunately two of my wisdom teeth are now impacted as one grew in hollow (thanks, weird teeth!) and for the last two weeks has been causing me significant pain. While my insurance will cover a few of the costs related to the wisdom teeth, much of the procedure isn't covered, leaving me with a large bill and money I don't have. I've already lost a day of work due to the pain and been working through a pretty constant stream of migraines and lack of sleep.
The dentist says I need two procedures- one for the extraction and one to put in a post and a fake tooth where the cracked one currently is. I'm raising money to cover the cost of both of these surgeries, and it's absolutely not money I have or could get through saving on my income.
To break down the costs, here's the final bill:

Right now, I owe the first part (everything except that #2 charge) in the amount of $1337 by next Tuesday, November 13th. The second part (the $1950) is due in two or three months when the post goes in (depending on healing speed). The overage on this gofundme is to cover fees from the platform, along with copays from doctor's visits (as I'll need to see them once or twice more at $50 a pop) and any other small additions.
EDIT: Thanks to a generous offsite donor, I've been able to lower the amount I need to collect here by $500! This has been changed on this page to avoid confusion.
Thank you all very much for considering donating to me- it really means a lot if you have any to give. Thank you! ♥
