Alex's mission to help others

Alexandra is 7 years old and on a mission to help others in need in the Charlotte area this holiday season.  After reading a story about the Charlotte Rescue Mission needing help providing food for families at Thanksgiving we knew this would be the perfect way for her to help.  The Charlotte Rescue Mission provides families in need with a Thanksgiving Box.  They are looking for donors to provide these.  Mom suggested packing one as a family but Alex thinks she can do 10!  We've priced everything out and each box will total $15 + tax.  She's hoping to raise money or have items donated to complete each box.   All donations will go directly to providing items for these Thanksgiving Boxes and any remaining money will be donated to the Charlotte Rescue Mission.

Donors are asked to pack an entire Thanksgiving meal in a plastic tote with a lid (16 ½ inches long, 13 inches wide, 12 ¼ inches high).
The food to be included: Green beans (38 ounce can); whole kernel corn (29 ounce can); cut sweet yams (40 ounce can); cranberry sauce (14 ounce can); Stove Top stuffing (6 ounce box); turkey or brown gravy mix package; Spice Cake Mix (1 box) and canned pumpkin — not pie filling (15 ounce can)
Donors are also asked to supply a baking pan for the cake (9 x 13 inch).

Your donation is twofold; you'll be helping a family enjoy a homemade Thanksgiving meal together and also helping Alex learn the joy of helping others in her community.
