Help adapt Daisy’s home

Hi everyone
our daughter Daisy has quadriplegic cerebral palsy. Daisy was born 10weeks premature and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at 18months old. Daisy is nearly 13 now! We have learnt a lot on our journey with a disabled child, there are a lot of battles for things she needs! Right now our house is the next battle. Daisy is a full time wheelchair user and we have done as much as we can to help Daisy get around at home with ease. As she gets older this gets harder and we are struggling to lift, transfer and care for Daisy
For the last year we have been going through the process of getting the Disabled facilities grant put in place so we can adapt our home. We thought we were on the home stretch till last week when we were told we would have to fund a large amount of the work ourselves! If we don’t have funds in place they can refuse the grant and all the planning and stress would have been for nothing.
so I am asking for your help to help us help Daisy be able to live in her home and make caring for her a hell of a lot easier!
The money will help to fund a downstairs bedroom with profiling bed and hoist system which will help us with dressing and transferring
A wet room with a specialist toilet to help daisy to learn to look after herself more and give her a bit more dignity
At the moment our only bathroom is upstairs which we are lifting Daisy to and bathing is extremely difficult. All this will be resolved with the work being carried out downstairs.
All this work is aimed at giving Daisy independence, enabling her to access her home be a normal teenager, have her friends round and have somewhere she can escape to when needs time to herself.
