Hi, my name is Terran Winner and this is a picture of me and my family above.
Breast cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer may have had an adversely impacted on you or your loved ones as it has on mine, therefore I have decided to join the fight against cancer.
I live in Trinidad and Tobago in the West Indies and I have been accepted into Georgia Institute of Technology to pursue a degree in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. My intent is to become a medical researcher and develop ways to combat this menace of cancer using cutting edge technologies which are currently under development. I see Artificial Intelligence Technology as being one of those new age technologies unavailable to researchers of the past.
My grandmother, Gemma Blaize died from pancreatic cancer. It still hurts to this day! She was a very loving soul. Her main lessons were those on how to love and how to give. Never could you go to church and don’t give an offering. She would always say.." Somebody out there needs it more than you right now" Every Sunday she will cook the tastiest spread and always ensures that a few lunch boxes were packed awaiting pickup to go to the less fortunate. Dependable, loving and caring are the best words to describe her.
Then there was the pain….the anguish, the worried look, and the silence, despair and ….more pain. Then She was GONE!
As a foreign student, I need your help for I do not have sufficient funding which is the reason for this fundraiser.
Am I going to be the guy that makes a great scientific breakthrough? I really hope so, but if not, my mission which I hope we can accomplish together is to make a difference by improving the quality of life for people living with cancer.
People get great satisfaction from helping others and hopefully, you do as well. There is nothing more fulfilling and rewarding than the education of a young mind. The only thing that I can do at this time is to prepare myself to excel at my work and ask, for my scripture says, ask and you shall receive in accordance with Matthew 7:7-8.
