Help a Mother During her Stage 4 Cancer Battle

Hi My name is Lonisha and I’m 44 yrs old. Unfortunately, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer last year in May 2023. My life was turned upside down at the sound of the word Cancer but to hear stage 4, I was gutted. I have 3 children and 1 grandson that is 6 months old. I’m fighting for them. I’ve had 18 rounds of chemo and 3 cycles of a targeted therapy. I had a Colon and Liver resection in May 2024 with a 2nd surgery needed to rid my liver of the numerous tumors that remain.

In the beginning of this cancer journey, I continued to work and keep my life as close to normal as I could, at least for my kids to see that everything is ok. But now, I have been out of work for months, and because my cancer is growing again, I have to start chemotherapy again. Working remote is ideal and what I’ve been applying for but those jobs are few and far in between. So now, my range is limited as far as returning to the office and even some Hybrid positions because of my chemo schedule.

I’m drowning financially, I’ve kept myself afloat this far depleting my savings in the process but I did it. Now I have nothing left, no income at all. I’m applying for disability but even that takes time to get an approval and pay. Never in a million years would I even think I’d be here health wise nor financially but I am. This funding would be for Bills, Bills and more Bills. I just simply can not stay afloat any longer without some help. So here I am asking for just that. Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated and if you can’t give please simply share.
