ABOUT US: This year is our first year bringing our teens to Southland Christian Camp for a week of summer camp. Our former camp was run by a cooperative of likeminded pastors from around the Houston area. Due to the demands that this created on the pastors' schedules, it was decided this year that each church would take their youth groups elsewhere.
We've been familiar with the ministry of Southland Christian Camp for several years. Unfortunately, the cost of summer camp is more than twice that of our former camp. In faith, we've chosen to go to Soundland. We are prayerfully moving ahead, trusting God to provide where we lack.
OUR GOAL is to send 5 teenagers this year. Will you join us in giving and praying toward this goal?
OUR PLAN is to host 5 fundraisers in the months of April and May to help raise the necessary finances. Whatever funds are raised will be recorded here, along with an update as to how the effort is going.
OUR PURPOSE in setting this goal, is to provide a pattern for the teens of what it means to prayerfully set a goal, and then step out in faith to see it through to completion.
