Hector's Theft Recovery

Donation protected
Hello Family & Friends,

My dear uncle Hector Garcia, recently had his trailer stolen, tools and all essential materials he uses for business and helping with various local charities. As many of you know Hector is a pretty amazing human being and a wonderful advocate to Houston!  For those of you that know Hector, know that he has an INCREDIBLE passion for all things dogs, bikes, margaritas and most importantly has a HUGE heart in helping people and giving back to our community through hosting events that bring Houston together!

THE BYKE PROJECT

In 2001, Hector began "The BYKE Project" as an outreach effort that reaches out to young children through BMX and cycling. This project not only was created to help promote more active lifestyles for children but to also provided the youth of low-income families with on-site free bike repairs and live demonstrations of simple skills to help with bike upkeep. With the continued support of our community, "The BYKE Project" has been able to host free events at local area schools and the Children’s Museum of Houston.

GIVING BACK THROUGH LOCAL EVENTS

Throughout the year Hector also curates fun family-friendly events such as "Puppies for Breakfast", "DogPop" and "Buffalo Market" and many other events that attract hundreds of locals to come together for one day. These events not only are geared to support small local businesses but each event has a charity beneficiary element to give back to local rescue charities to help our furry four-legged friends!

In between hosting events, Hector continuously collaborates with fellow dog advocates and other organizations to organize various events to give back to the community. These events are anything from building dog houses for low-income families to free dog grooming services and even photo shoots to dog's in rescue who pro photos could increase their chances for adoption!

THEFT DETAILS

On July 1st at 11 a.m his work trailer was stolen from the driveway of his own home.  Security footage from a nearby neighbors house captured the description of the truck but, the license plate was not visible. The truck fleeing his house was described as a white four-door Chevy Silverado with black rims. Unfortunately, there have been no updates to the whereabouts of the trailer and items stolen at this time.

The trailer, equipment/tools inside were all essential for "The Byke Project" and were crucial in building setups for events and also in conducting Hector's business, Neue Creative.

The funds raised will help pay to replace the following items that were stolen:
