Heart Awareness River Expedition

Donation protected
On May 10th 2018, Kevin Eckelkamp and Nathaniel Lastinger are setting out to attempt to beat the Guinness World Record of traveling the length of the Mississippi River by canoe as a two man team. Our goal is to go from start to finish in 14 days. The current record was set on May 28th 2003 and sits at 18 days 4 hours and 53 minutes. The previous team to hold that record from 1980 included none other then Kevin's late Uncle, who unfortunately passed away in June of 2017 due to a heart attack. After much talk of heart problems with both Kevin and Nate's family (Nate's son having had a heart transplant at 3 weeks old) we have decided that we want to not only create a legacy for ourselves, but also show our support by helping the American Heart Association and our community.
In the attempt to break the current record, we are needing as much help as we can get. 10% of the donations we recieve will go towards the American Heart Association (AHA) and helping fight heart disease.  We appreciate any contribution that will help to complete this feat!
