Healthy Ride 4 All

Healthy Ride believes in a bike share for all. A bike share that enhances public transit access, one that meets the community where they’re at, helps educate people of all ages on how to ride, and supports access to low-income riders.


How does Healthy Ride build a bike share for all?

-We give ConnectCard users free 15 minutes trips to help riders like Amber finish the last leg of her commute by bike.

-We provide free annual memberships to Bedford Dwellings residents like Jennifer who uses it to get to work.

-We organize group rides with ambassadors like Merecedes just learned to ride a bike and is now teaching others. 

-We partner with our friends at BikePGH to bring bikes to Confidant City Cycling Classes so new cyclists can learn to ride a bike.

-We collaborate with City High  so students like Jeremy can take regular bike rides with his peers.

-We meet people where they’re at, hosting registration events, answering questions, and helping them get signed up. 

-We bring pop-up stations to community events like Open Streets PGH so family’s like Monica’s can explore Pittsburgh together.

-We hire neighborhood ambassadors like La’Vette  to share how healthy and fun biking can be.

Last year you helped us crush our goal and raised funds for 500+ annual memberships for low income riders. This year we’re pumped to raise $10,000 to expand the ways in which we make bike share more accessible for everyone in our beautiful city. Every donation big and small helps! With your help we can make bike share in Pittsburgh for all.

To recognize all those who support affordable active transportation on or before Giving Tuesday (Nov 27) we put their name on the Heart of Gold Holiday Bike for the month of December. For our generous donors after Nov 27 we'll give you some great Healthy Ride prizes.
