Health Expenses for Darryl

This GoFundMe campaign is for Darryl Willis. Darryl is one of the nicest people that you will ever know. Even in the midst of his health struggles over the years, he has seemed to persevere and remain positive through it all.
Darryl was diagnosed with Ulcerative colitis nearly 30 years ago and has struggled with his digestive system ever since. Over time he was able to gain weight and feel healthier. Fast forward to five years ago, he found out that he had colon cancer, having his large intestine (colon) removed. He has since been functioning with only his small intestine after reconstruction of his intestinal tract. He has been disabled and unable to work ever since. As of three weeks ago, Darryl was hospitalized once again and diagnosed with Crohn's disease with intestinal blockage, in which a new specialist informed him that he was misdiagnosed 30 years ago. The doctors had to perform surgery once again on his intestines to clear the blockage and because of an abscess, his wounds has to remain open for him to heal from inside out. He has to wear a colostomy bag and has lost so much weight, down to a lowly 103 pounds. This is very sad to see. He is praying that he does not have to wear the colostomy bag for the rest of his life.
Darryl lives in DeSoto, Texas, but for the time being has to reside with his 80+ year old parents (Jewel & Dorothy) to help care for him in Malvern, Arkansas. He is an only child. Darryl is also a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., initiated Alpha Zeta Chapter, Spring 87. He has always considered his brothers and sisters in Greekdom to be the siblings he never had.
Darryl does not have healthcare and the medical expenses and home care is definitely a hardship on him and his parents to maintain. He is so modest and took convincing him to allow us to start this campaign. So, this campaign is a plea to all of Darryl's friends, family and even good Samaritans to show generosity. Please give what you can and forward to others and let Darryl know that there are people that really care about him. Prayers are always sufficient and welcome as well.
